He has been a Research Professor at ICREA and UAB since November 2002. He also worked from 1988 as a visiting professor/researcher in NIST, Johns Hopkins Univ., Tsinghua Univ. Research interests
The research field of Dr. D.-X. Chen is magnetism and superconductivity. In recent years, he has developed different ac susceptibility techniques to study high-temperature superconductors and amorphous and nano-crystalline magnetic materials. Intimately connecting experiments with theories, the emphasis of his work has been to find interesting new phenomena, to correct or clarify important concepts that are widely accepted but may be in error, and to provide accurately calculated data tables generally useful in the field.
