This ICFO spin-off is based on research led by ICREA Research Professor Valerio Pruneri, who is also a founding member of the company.
Its CV-QKD technology generates ultra-secure encryption keys that are even resistant to attack by quantum computers. This means that the communications of governments, critical infrastructures, data centers and companies will be protected against the threats of the future quantum era.
This funding will allow LuxQuanta to scale up production, advance R&D and expand internationally, consolidating itself as a global scale-up. And it also strengthens strategic alliances, such as that of Telefónica.
