Four projects led by ICREA researchers receive a Synergy Grant from the European Research Council (ERC).
A total of 66 grants were awarded across Europe in this call, and ICREA secured 6% of the total. An exceptional result that highlights the impact and quality of our research. The selected projects are:
- LAND (Land and Life in the Anthropocene: Landscape Reform), coordinated by ICREA Esteve Corbera of the Institut de Ciència i Tecnologia Ambientatls de Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (ICTA-UAB)
- MAGNESIS (Magnetically enhanced electrocatalysis), coordinated by ICREA researcher Jose Ramon Galan-Mascaros of the Institut Català d’Investigació Química (ICIQ).
- Zee-Zoom-Zap. Miguel Angel Gonzalez Ballester from Pompeu Fabra University is one of the project’s principal investigators.
- RedH0T. Led by Licia Verde and Fréderic Courbin from the Institut de Ciències del Cosmos of the Universitat de Barcelona (ICCUB).
These grants foster collaboration between scientists to combine talent, experience and resources and to push research beyond its limits.
Congratulations to everyone, we are sure you will take the projects to the next level.
