Laura Soucek (ICREA at VHIO) obtains funding from BBVA foundation to develop her novel anticancer therapy
Barcelona, October 2015.- Laura Soucek, Principal Investigator of VHIO´s Mouse Models of Cancer Therapies Group and ICREA Professor, has just been announced as one of the five BBVA Foundation Grant recipients for her group´s research exploring the Validation of an innovative anti-Myc therapy in glioblastoma. Josep Maria Llovet (ICREA at IDIBAPS) obtains 1M euro European funds to explore hepatocellular carcinoma.
The recently awarded grant is a joint project in H2020 European programme aimed at understanding the mechanisms of hepatocellular carcinoma and the impact of comorbidities in the outcome of the disease. The total amount of the project exceeds 5 milion euro and involves 10 different partners in 5 countries. Full details here.
