Investiture ceremony of Helga Nowotny and Maria Leptin as honorary doctors from the UPF

ABSTRACT

Jan Eeckhout and Carla Lancelotti, ICREA Research Professors at the UPF Departments of Economics and Business and Humanities, will give the laudatio at the academic ceremony to invest Helga Nowotny,professor emerita of Science and Technology Studies at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) and former president of the European Research Council (ERC), and Maria Leptin, researcher at the Institute of Genetics at the University of Cologne and current president of the European Research Council (ERC), as honorary doctors from Pompeu Fabra University.

The ceremony will take place on Tuesday 28th of April 2026, at 12.00 noon, at the auditorium of the UPF Ciutadella campus (Ramon Trias Fargas, 25-27, Barcelona).
