The present invention belongs to the technical field of devices, systems and techniques for delivery of therapeutic electrical stimulation to a tissue, especially brain tissue, of a patient in need thereof.In particular, the present invention provides a neural probe, e.g., a flexible neural probe, for recording brain signals and delivery of electrical stimulation to a brain tissue of a patient in need thereof.The present invention further provides a method of manufacturing a stimulation and recording neural probe, such as the neural probe defined above.Still further, the invention provides a stimulation system, inter alia including at least one neural probe as defined above.The system is adapted for delivery of closer-loop electrical stimulation to a target tissue within the brain of a patient.
