Short biography
I earned my Ph.D. in Computational Physics from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC, Spain) in 2006. From 2006 to 2010, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at University College London (United Kingdom). In 2010, I joined the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (Spain) as a JAE-DOC Research Fellow. In 2014, I was awarded an ARC Future Fellowship at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, UNSW Sydney (Australia), where I served as a Senior Lecturer until 2020. In 2019, I received a “Ramón y Cajal” Research Fellowship from the Spanish government and returned to the Department of Physics at UPC, where I was promoted to Associate Professor in 2025. Since December 2025, I have been an ICREA Research Professor in Spain.
