Short biography
I have been an ICREA Research Professor since 2005. I obtained a PhD in Chemistry from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology at the University of Zagreb, Croatia, in 1995. From 1999 to 2011, I was a research scientist at the Institute for Environmental Assessment and Water Studies (IDAEA-CSIC) in Barcelona. Since July 2011, I have been working as a senior researcher at the Catalan Institute for Water Research (ICRA) in Girona, Spain. At ICRA, I currently hold the position of Deputy Director of Research, and I am responsible for the research line focusing on contaminants in water treatment processes. I have published over 290 research papers and 30 book chapters and have edited 8 books.
