Short biography
PhD in Economics from University of Minnesota; MA in Economics from USC, MA in science from Brown University. Assistant professor at Brown University and University of Rochester; Associate professor at EUI and Brown University; Full professor at the University of Catania, Modena, Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), part-time professor at University of Southampton and London Business School and Research professor with IGIER Bocconi. He is a Research Fellow with the CEPR, a Research Associate at CREI, CREMED and EPrism; a member of the CEPR Dating Committee, of the Scientific Committee of the Euro Area Business Cycle Network (EABCN), of the Advisory Board of Dynare and of ESOBE, Program director of the Budapest School for Central Banking Studies, and coeditor of the Journal of the European Economic Association. I develop techniques to estimate economic models, to forecast macroeconomic variables like output growth and inflation and to examine business cycle fluctuations across the world. Key words
