I am interested in many contemporary issues in philosophy, in particular having to do with the phenomenon of vagueness in natural language; the context-dependence of key expressions in traditional philosophical debates in metaphysics, epistemology, and metaethics; and metaphilosophical reflection about the status of some of these debates themselves. A common theme across these seems to be: exploring real matters issuing from words, and issues where words don't really matter.
